Overview

Humans should eat precisely until they’re full. The problem for many, however, is that our stomach is big. That is, one can fit more food—and more calories—into the stomach than one can burn and extra calories are stored as fat. As a result, we are left with a never-ending cycle of overeating and even with exercise, losing weight is difficult. Full Bar™ is a supplement program claiming to help lower the amount of food we eat naturally. The supplements come in the form of nutrition bars and snacks. One simply eats the Full Bar™ product with a glass of water 30 minutes prior to the biggest meals of the day. Full Bar™ isn’t an appetite suppressant however, the ingredients simply tell the body it is full, hence we will eat less. Sound simple?

Ingredients at a Glance

Aside from Full Bar™ supplements, the program has a website which includes FAQ’s, news, product features, and other weight loss tips. The bars include all natural ingredients such as nuts, fruit, and grains.

Ingredients in Focus

The Full Bar™ bars come in an assortment of flavors such as Cranberry Almond®, Cocoa Chip®, Peanut Butter Crunch®, Fresh Berry Bliss®, and Zesty Lemon Lime®. There are no herbs, stimulants, or appetite suppressants included. They are low in sugar, high in protein, and fiber. The ingredients are food such as, Brown Rice Syrup, Puffed Wheat, Soy Protein Concentrate, Honey, Acacia Gum, Glycerine, Currants, Cranberries, Agave Syrup, Canola Oil, Infused Dried Strawberries and other fruits. Natural Flavor, Salt, Soy Lecithin, Sugar, Malic Acid, Sunflower Oil. The author reasons the program works the same as surgery. That is, that when one eats a bar before the big meal, one will eat less during the main meal. Since the Full Bar™ products are low in calories, one is eating fewer calories, especially since the main meal will be smaller. It may work in theory – or the chance runs high that the bar will simply add to what may already be an over the top calorie count.

Positives

•    Full Bar™ is an all natural way to limit the amount of calories one eats.

Negatives

•    Bars similar to the nutrition value can be purchased for much cheaper at health foods stores.
•    The diet doesn’t include exercise.
•    The Full Bar™ doesn’t suppress the appetite, it merely fills the stomach.

Final Thoughts

Full Bar™ was designed by a surgeon with a great amount of experience doing gastric bypass. He claims the same principles of this surgery are applied to his weight loss program. That is, by feeling full before a big meal one will eat less. The only problem is that if one doesn’t feel full from the bar one may eat more, and drive the calorie intake way, way up. The temptation may be to eat 2 or 3 bars before a big meal which defeats the purpose of the plan. Nevertheless, it’s a safe and natural program that encourages healthy eating and nutrition. The bars are full of nutritious ingredients and have plenty of fiber which is often lacking in many diets. Whether they will work for you depends on your ability to discipline your food intake.

Remember too, that there are supplements available which contain proven ingredients to help burn fat and control the appetite – and they have no calories at all.  Add a healthy diet and exercise and you are on your way.
